Hello, I am Amjad Majid, a senior researcher at Martel Inn.

Dr Amjad Yousef Majid is a Senior Researcher at Martel Innovate B.V., where he spearheads technical work in several Horizon-Europe projects, including FLUIDOS (a meta-OS for the cloud-edge-IoT continuum), Embed2Scale (AI-driven Earth-observation data federation) and Eros4NRG (zero-trust analytics for smart-energy IoT). He holds both an MSc and a PhD in Computer Science from Delft University of Technology, where his doctoral research pioneered battery-free IoT and intermittent computing. As a post-doctoral researcher he went on to lead the Internet of Robot initiative, exploring distributed intelligent systems. Majid’s work has produced multiple patents—including “Method and system for efficient access to a spectrum database” and “Power-interrupt immune software execution”—and a portfolio of peer-reviewed publications in top venues such as ACM SenSys, IEEE INFOCOM and IPSN. His current interests lie at the intersection of robotics, (generative) AI and large-scale cloud-edge orchestration, all aimed at building sustainable, trustworthy, and hyper-distributed intelligent computing for a better digital future.
